Valentine's Day 2010 Banner

Here at Peter’s, we were looking for a little inspiration on the subject of love. So we turned on the radio and listened for a while.

Love, the radio told us, is a many-spendoured thing.

The Beatles were next, letting us know that Love is All You Need. However, they also wrote I am the Walrus, goo goo ga joob, - and then, there’s that whole we all live in a yellow submarine thing, so honestly, I’m not really sure if the Beatles’ lyrics can be trusted…

According to decades' worth of pop songs, Love is All Around. From Phil Collins, we know that You Can’t Hurry Love. Elvis Can’t Help Falling in Love and, as for Meatloaf, he’d Do Anything For Love. Back in the Eighties, a guy called Robert Palmer was Addicted to Love, and, before that, Queen sung about a Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

But you’d better watch out, because love has a dark side, too. Brian May warns us that Too Much Love Will Kill You, and poor Air Supply are All Out of Love. And then, there’s Pat Benatar’s warning that Love is a Battlefield! Eep!?

How confusing! It’s no wonder Foreigner sing I Want To Know What Love Is.

20 to 1 World's Best Love Songs

If love’s got you perplexed this Valentine’s Day, we don’t blame you. Forget all those fickle pop songs, turn off the radio, and, at the risk of sounding cheesy, listen to your heart (which, coincidentally, is the name of a song by Roxette).

Whether you’ve been married for thirty-three years, or you just met the other week, telling someone you love them is fraught with difficulty. It’s lucky we’ve got Valentine’s Day to make it all clear – it’s the day when saying those three little words is easier than ever. Especially when they’re accompanied by a gorgeous gift from Peter’s of Kensington!

This year, Valentine’s Day is on Sunday the 14th of February. If it’s snuck up on you, don’t panic - you’ve still got time to find the perfect V-day gift for your one true love.

If you’re a little stuck for ideas, don’t worry. We’ve done all the shopping for you! We’ve spent hours collecting our favourite Valentine’s Day gift ideas into the one, handy category – just for you!

Don’t Forget!

When you place your order, there are two really important things you need to remember…

The first is that we’ve set up a special Valentine’s Day delivery option to help us get your gifts out faster than ever. When you place your order, in the final stage of your shopping cart, make sure you click the Valentine’s Day postage button. Okay, so it’s a little more expensive than our regular postage charges, but this option ensures your order will leave the store as soon as possible.

Secondly, we need to let you know about our Valentine’s Day Delivery Guidelines. By placing your order within these guidelines, you help us make sure your order leaves our store with more than enough time for your gift to arrive at your loved one’s doorstep.

In order for us to dispatch your order in time for it to reach its destination before Valentine's Day, we recommend you take the following guidelines into account when placing your order...
