When it came to choosing what to write about for our first Ten Things post, the decision was actually really easy. It’s one of our all-time best sellers; the product on everyone’s wishlists. In fact, as far as we’re concerned, it’s a kitchen classic.

Ten things we love about KitchenAid KSM Mixers…

When the going gets tough

Every KSM Mixer is made in America, with a die-cast metal exterior. Your KitchenAid Mixer’s hard-wearing, baked enamel finish is made to cope with a whole lifetime of use and still look great. There’s no doubt about it: these sturdy mixers are made to last. And last. And last…

Piece of cake

You don’t need a PhD to use the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Just pop in your ingredients, move the slider on the side to select the speed you’d like – and you’re off to a flying start! Each model has ten speeds to choose from, and the smart manual included with your KSM Mixer explains which speed is best to use for most common kitchen tasks. A lever on the other side lets you tilt the KitchenAid’s head up, and changing the beater is as easy as changing a light bulb – just twist and pull.

Intergalactic, planetary

The KitchenAid’s clever planetary mixing action is not only unique, but also seriously effective. The beater moves in one direction around the bowl, while the beater’s head turns in the opposite direction. The result? Perfectly combined ingredients, every time.

Just think of all the delicious things you’ll be able to make with your KitchenAid mixer. From cakes to cookies; muffins to meringues, baking is much better with your trusty KitchenAid to help you out. You can also make breads, guacamole, pizza doughs – the list goes on.
