From a tradition spanning thousands of years comes a piece of art that is a wonderful mix of beauty and practicality…
Alperstein’s Aboriginal Art collection is a bright collection of accessories that feature the artworks of some of Australia’s finest Indigenous artists. With their bold colours and amazing designs, these pieces do true justice to the works on which they’re based.
Experience a taste of luxury, from Alperstein and the Yarliyil Art Centre. In the eastern Kimberly region of Western Australia, a group of artists work to preserve the rich culture of their lands, history and people across a range of mediums. It is the work of this centre’s artists that Alperstein has chosen to display across a lavish collection of silk scarves.
Susan Peter’s rust-toned scarf is based on her artwork Bush Tomatoes,
focusing on the plant that grows from quiet root stock in the sandy country around Wolfe Creek Crater. Susan proudly paints the bush tucker and bush medicines that she loves to collect, and whose purposes were taught to her by her family.
