When it comes to woollen garments and accessories, it’s all too easy to purchase a lower imitation piece – something made behind closed doors using questionable labour techniques, usually from man-made fibres with strange chemicals involved…
But when you purchase a beautiful piece from Bronte, you can be assured that what arrives in your home is pure British history, made in the British Isles since 1837. Despite the changes in the textiles industry during the 20th Century, Bronte have remained close to their roots, refusing to fall to lesser, cheaper methods of creating their beautiful woollen wares.
What’s more, Bronte controls their own manufacturing process from the get-go: they spin, they weave, they dye, and all the other integral processes that come together to create a single blanket or scarf. Their sheep are even raised in such a way that their wool is of a superior quality; soft to the touch and soft on the skin.
It’s wool, and nothing else. Actually, that’s not true – it’s also beautiful, warm, snug, and totally Bronte.
