Founded in the early 1800s, Henry Watson Potteries, located in
Wattisfield, Suffolk, England, has been making stylish, practical
homewares, kitchenware and more for centuries.
While other companies have changed over the years, altering their look
with every passing fad, Henry Watson Potteries has remained gloriously
the same. Henry Watson still make things the old-fashioned way, using
time-honoured techniques and the finest quality materials to create
products that are refreshingly old-world.
The Charlotte Watson range is named for the matriarch of the Watson
family. Remembered fondly as “a well-loved and kindly lady”, Charlotte
Watson lived to a ripe old age of 81. She was the mother of eleven (yes,
eleven!) children, including, of course, Henry Watson, who
went on to found Henry Watson Potteries. It’s only fitting that he named
one of his most popular, stylish ranges after his mother!
Each piece in the Charlotte Watson range is a lovely creamy shade,
accented with delightful nostalgic flourishes. They’ll look and feel
just as at home in a traditional country kitchen as they will sitting on
any modern kitchen bench.
Fashions come and go with every passing week, but true style is timeless.
