Thomas Davin and Mary Kesler have been woodworking together for over thirty years. Working out of a nineteenth century mill overlooking an idyllic pond setting, the pair utilise the beauty of their surroundings to create objects that are simple yet elegant in design.
The Keslers' woodcraft is both practical and handsome, and with minimal care required they can be appreciated for years to come. The hallmark of their work is its combination of artistic expression and functionality.
With squared ends and an elegant tapered design, these Davin & Kesler Chopsticks pay homage to traditional Japanese chopsticks of the Shang Dynasty. Each chopstick pair is handmade from hand-finished cherry wood, and feature a cocobolo rest for holding your chopsticks between bites of sushi or noodles. The chopsticks also store inside the centre of the rest when they are not in use, to give the appearance of a samurai sword.
