We’ve all experienced the deliciousness of Crème Brûlée, or as it is known in Spain - Crema Catalana.
But did you know that this tasty dessert was made long before the invention of the blowtorch or oven grill? So how was it made back then?
This unusual set by Davis & Waddell allows you to create your very own Crema Catalana – the old fashioned way! You simply pour your crème mix into the rustic ceramic pots and sprinkle them with sugar, then you heat up the special steel iron included and press down
on the sugar to caramelise it!
It’s fun to do, and the result is simply spectacular! Bring it out at your next party or simply use it to add an old-fashioned spin to your weeknight desserts.
- Pots are made from ceramic while the rod is made from steel with a wooden handle.
- Presented as a set six pots and one caramelising rod.
- Rod must be heated up and then pressed down on your pot of caramel and sugar to create the famous caramelised top layer.
