Blitz, bomb, boondock, crud, lunch, squidger, good shot, John Lennon memorial shot…
Nope, we’re not talking in code – we’re talking about Tiddlywinks. Never heard of it? It began in Victorian England back in the 1800s, but the birth of the modern Tiddlywinks as we know (or may not know) it began at Cambridge University during the 1950s or ‘60s.
For a blast of nostalgia, open up a Heritage game box. They’re all about living the glory days, when kids played outside
, when they weren’t expected to be back inside until there were bats in the sky.
Tiddlywinks is a simple game, and Heritage’s version is based on a 1950’s classic. Four players take turns flicking coloured counters (called “winks”) on to the scoring board (also known as a pot), trying for the highest score by the time they've run out of winks. If you can get your wink in the pot, you’ll score big!
Re-live your retro years, thanks to Heritage!
