You probably never considered pottery to be a kitchen gadget, huh?
Because when you think “gadget”, you most likely think of something made from plastic or metal, with some sort of quirky design to keep you entertained. But JBK Pottery’s creations are far more simple than that.
These little pottery tiles have been stamped with a particular design – in this case, a hummingbird – and have a simple purpose that they’re very good at fulfilling. Simply soak one of these tiles in water for fifteen minutes, pat dry, and then place it in a container of rock-hard brown sugar. You’ll find that your brown sugar stays soft for up to three months, replacing the old apple piece in the sugar trick your grandmother may have had.
This process can be repeated as many times as you need, so that you always have fluffy brown sugar on hand. It’s so effective…and they didn’t even need to give it a silly name!
