Kosta Boda is about as typically Swedish as the country’s little red Dalahäst horse. As one of the largest glassware groups in the Nordic countries, they have long created glass that is both artistic and functional – since 1742, to be precise!
Back then, Kosta Boda’s clientele included royalty, nobility and wealthy merchants; those who could afford the company’s costly bottles, drinkware, window panes and even chandeliers. These days, Kosta Boda can be brought in to your own home for a lot less – and every piece has a story to tell.
Long-term Kosta Boda designer Ulrica Hydman-Vallien’s passion for iconic images with striking, bold lines introduces us to yet another individual collection: Caramba. Vividly abstract and just a little bit Picasso-esque, we’re just dying to know what these two windswept faces are thinking as they rest amongst a crowd of slithery creatures.
Signed by Ulrica herself, this bowl makes an iconic collector’s item, and also an artistic gift.
