Salt, that all-purpose flavour enhancer most commonly found on oily hot chips, mightn’t always seem like the most exotic seasoning. But that’s where we beg to differ. Salt can truly be a thing of beauty, and steal the show from other, arguably more exciting spices.
The best example of this? Mount Zero’s Pink Lake Natural Salt w/ Chilli. Derived from the mineral-rich waters of Western Victoria, a small amount of this pink-tinted salt is hand-harvested and sun-dried each year. Our chilli mix includes three varieties of Australian chillies and natural salt crystals from the Pink Lake - we blitz the fresh chillies and mix with the un-refined salt to create a vibrant orange/red salt. Have no fear, it is designed to add flavour, not scorch! Delicious on prawns, pizzas, chips, meats and more, or add it to lime juice to make a great dipping sauce or marinade.
