Colours can be confusing. Take, for instance, red. Red can refer to a
light, pastelly-pink red, or it could be the bold, bright red of a stop
sign. To avoid confusion, the Pantone system gives all shades of the
colour red a unique number. Really bright red, for instance, is
Pantone 193. The particular shade of blue on the Scottish Flag is
