When Royal Doulton was granted its royal warrant – which allowed them to adopt the “Royal” title – by King Edward VII in 1901, it was the beginning of a relationship with Royal Doulton and the British royal family that's still strong today.
The Royal Commemoratives figurine collection pays tribute to Royal Doulton’s long relationship with the English Monarchy, depicting not only members of the Royal Family, but also many of the most important moments in their history.
Celebrating over 60 years on the British throne, Celebrating Queen Elizabeth II is a collection that pays homage to England’s longest-reigning monarch. Here, we see Queen Elizabeth seated with her favourite corgis at Windsor Castle – a pose inspired by a photograph taken in 1962 when the Queen was celebrating ten years on the throne. At Home has Queen Elizabeth dressed in a yellow dress with a matching jacket, full of typical 1960s flair, while at her feet sit at her feet.
This limited edition release of 2,000 depicts a more intimate side of royal life, and shows the bond that the Queen continues to share with her corgis to this day.
