“Bread Street” might seem like an odd name for a dinnerware collection,
but when you realise the minds behind it, things will start to fall in
to place…
Once, master chef Gordon Ramsay and esteemed porcelain empire Royal
Doulton put their heads together and created a dinner collection that
embraced every part of a meal, from purchasing ingredients to the way
they were cooked and then served. That range was known as Maze, and it
was beginning of a beautiful friendship.
So when Ramsay and Royal Doulton came together to collaborate once
again, it was time to up the ante. Bread Street is inspired by Ramsay’s
restaurant in London of a similar name – Bread Street Kitchen – and
stays true to his love for dinnerware that suits casual dining styles.
Bread Street is made for the social, with an industrial edge that echoes
the building in which Ramsay’s restaurant is located.
Bread Street plays with two colours, white and slate, that take turns
being inverted across a range of ceramic pieces. This colour scheme fits
in with the warehouse style of its namesake, and features an earthen
texture sealed in both matt and gloss glazes. The hardiness of quality
ceramic will keep this collection on your table for years to come, and
accompany you through life’s greatest parties.
