When Royal Doulton was granted its royal warrant – which allowed them to adopt the “Royal” title – by King Edward VII in 1901, it was the beginning of a relationship with Royal Doulton and the British royal family that's still strong today.
The Royal Commemoratives figurine collection pays tribute to Royal Doulton’s long relationship with the English Monarchy, depicting not only members of the Royal Family, but also many of the most important moments in their history.
Celebrating over 60 years on the British throne, Celebrating Queen Elizabeth II is a collection that pays homage to England’s longest-reigning monarch. Depicting three generations of family in one figurine, A Royal Christening portrays Queen Elizabeth II as she appeared at Prince George Alexander Louis’ christening on the 23rd of October, 2013. Third in line to the throne, Prince George is help by his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, while his father the Duke of Cambridge proudly stands behind them.
Seated upon a plush lounge chair, the Queen wears a sky blue cashmere ensemble, decorated with one of her favourite brooches: the Flower Basket Brooch, given to the Queen to celebrate the birth of Prince Charles.
