When Royal Doulton was granted its royal warrant – which allowed them to adopt the “Royal” title – by King Edward VII in 1901, it was the beginning of a relationship with Royal Doulton and the British royal family that's still strong today.
The Royal Commemorative figurine collection pays tribute to Royal Doulton’s long relationship with the English Monarchy, depicting not only members of the Royal Family, but also many of the most important moments in their history.
Celebrating over 60 years on the British throne, Celebrating Queen Elizabeth II is a collection that pays homage to England’s longest-reigning monarch. The Birthday Celebration depicts the Queen as she appeared on her 80th birthday on the 21st of April 2006, in a vibrant pink coat and matching hat. Beautifully detailed from the feathers in her hat to the sparkling City of London Lily Brooch pinned to her coat, Queen Elizabeth II also holds a bouquet of white roses in her left hand, and a greeting card in her right – a symbol of the time she spent walking around town, accepting gifts, cards and flowers from the public.
