Ever daydreamed about being a samurai warrior? Pick up a Shun knife, and you’ll almost know the feeling…
For almost a century, Shun knives have been made in Seki City, Japan – a city that can trace its sword-crafting heritage back to the days of the Samurai warriors. When you hold a Shun knife, you’re holding in your hand the result of 700 years of history.
The Elite collection is an artful rendering of just what Shun are able to attain with their long history and tasteful aesthetics. The first thing you may notice are the blades: crafted with a powdered Japanese stainless steel (as well as other composite steels) which gives them a matte finish and a hard core. Accompanying this is what is known as the hamon
line, based on traditional Japanese sword designs.
With ambidextrous pakkawood handles, fantastic edge retention and more, the Elite range really is the best of the best when it comes to Shun.
