Pretty woman, walking down the street. Pretty woman, the kind I’d like to meet.
We all know and love his music from a mile away. From that
spine-tingling voice to those glasses, Roy Orbison was a true superstar.
No one else has ever quite known their way around a melody like he did. You Got It, I Drove All Night
and the classic, Oh Pretty Woman
are just tips of a vast iceberg of musical wonder you’ll want to listen to over and over.
And now you can listen to something very special, with this second-round release of Black & White Night.
This one-time show was recoded in Los Angeles in 1988, and filmed entirely in black and white as a nod back toward Orbison’s soulful rock heritage. For an hour, Orbison and friends performed many of his greatest hits; Elvis Costello, K.H Lang, Bruce Springsteen and T-Bone Burnett, among many others, were just a part of the star-studded line-up.
Released on DVD, Black & White Night
is now available for you to watch again and again – just in case you missed it back in the ‘80s. It also includes the songs that didn’t originally make it to broadcast due to time restraints, so you know what you’re about to watch is the absolute original!
