Tokens & Icons was founded in 1991, when Ward Wallau, recently out of hotel school, decided to utilise his entrepreneurial know-how and transform New York City Transit Authority’s “Y-Cut” subway tokens into cufflinks.
Ward believed the tokens were a logical and creative way to reincorporate an aspect of the city’s rich history into the everyday life of New Yorkers. So of course, these cufflinks became the first collection by Tokens & Icons. Today, Tokens & Icons’ entire range is hand-crafted from, or incorporate, authentic artefacts, including Major League Baseball bats National Hockey League pucks and more.
True to the spirit of Tokens & Icons comes this exquisite pair of Pan AM 707 Cufflinks. Secured directly from one of Arizona's biggest boneyards, National Aircraft, these cufflinks are crafted using genuine fuselage from a Pan AM 707 plane. A wearable token of history, these cufflinks are the ideal accessory for any collector.
