Waterford. The name stands out, as clear as the beautiful crystal for
which it is famous. Once you’ve seen a piece of this beautiful,
light-filled crystal; held it in your hand and twirled it in the light,
you’ll never forget it…
In 1783, two brothers started a little crystal factory in Waterford, one
of Ireland’s busiest ports. Before long, ships began to sail all over
the world, laden with beautiful Waterford crystal. Over the years the
Waterford name became synonymous with immaculate quality and exquisite
design, and today Waterford are renowned for the most beautiful crystal
in the world.
Lismore has always been one of Waterford’s most successful crystal
patterns, and on its 60 Year Diamond anniversary was celebrated with a
of the classic Lismore design. Diamond is, of course, dedicated to
striking diamond cuts in its crystal, bringing a whole new life to this
already treasured crystal pattern.
These same diamond-shaped cuts appear around the bell-shaped bowls of
the Lismore Diamonds Toasting Flute Set, which have been crafted from
splendid crystal. The extra-long stems allow you to hold these glasses
with the utmost poise, while their simple yet brilliant pattern brings
them proudly in to the twenty-first century.
