Peter’s Friday Favourites

Another Friday means it’s time for another edition of Friday Favourites – the weekly post in which we profile five of our favourite new arrivals here at Peter’s. Because we wouldn’t want you to miss out on a single thing…

Here are just some of the many, many things we fell in love with this week…

Nel Lusso Art of Science Mug

Nel Lusso Art of Science Mug

Forget the age-old battle of art vs science. Thanks to Nel Lusso’s brilliant design team, these two polar opposites have finally joined forces! The result? A wonderfully quirky range of dinnerware featuring intricate designs based on Victorian-era biological diagrams. With the Eye Mug, you can still keep an eye on things as you enjoy your morning coffee with your eyes still half-closed. Once you’ve fallen in love with this mug, be sure to take a look at the whole range. You’ll like what you (ahem) see.

RSC Set

RSC Pink Jasmine and Mint Candle Set

If you’re rather taken by the look of flickering candles, but you’re worried about curious kids or pets getting a little too curious, you’ll love RSC Candles. Really Safe Candles are made from scented wax, and look and smell exactly like the real deal – except they’re not. These clever candles are actually battery operated! At the touch of a button on the cute, compact remote control that’s included with the set, you can turn your RSC Candles on and off from the other side of the room. Their warm, soft light flickers just as enticingly as real candles, but they’re much safer. What a brilliant idea! Available in plenty of different scents, sizes and more, there are so many RSC Candles to choose from.

Ashdene Harvest Jug

Ashdene Harvest Jug

Ashdene’s new Harvest collection is the work of talented Melbourne-based illustrator, Daniella Germain. Each piece in the range features garden-fresh veggies and herbs, all in irresistibly earthy tones. We quite like this stoneware jug, but take a look at the range and you’ll find matching tapas bowls, tea towels and so much more. Let the feast begin!

Habitat Canister

Habitat Krista Large Kite Canister

Habitat’s range of dinnerware and kitchenware is all relatively new to Peter’s. There’s so much to love about this Australian-designed collection…in fact, choosing just one product to feature from the range has been next to impossible. But after several hours’ debate here in the Peter’s office, we decided that we just had to show you Habitat’s range of canisters. They’re made from ceramic, with bamboo lids and available in an enormous selection of sizes, colours and retro-inspired designs. Your kitchen benches are in for a treat…

Pigeonhole Polaroid Camera

Pigeonhole OneStep Polaroid Camera

Talking of all things retro, the Pigeonhole OneStep 600 Polaroid Camera makes the perfect Christmas gift for the creative soul in your life! Just point, shoot and…well, you know what to do next.

A word of advice – if you do intend to give this cooler-than-cool camera away as a Christmas present, you’d better have another gift on standby, just in case you change your mind and decide to keep it for yourself at the last minute!

Thanks for reading! We’ll have a new edition of Friday Favourites ready for you next Friday. Until then, what’s your favourite from this week’s selection?
