Photos: Guy Grossi in the Peter’s of Kensington Demonstration Kitchen

If it’s taken us a little longer than usual to get the images from Saturday’s Guy Grossi event on the blog, we apologise. To be honest, we’re still recovering after we sampling the incredible meals Guy cooked for us the other day.

Guy Grossi is the chef behind some of Melbourne’s most iconic restaurants, including Grossi Florentino, Merchant Osteria Veneta and Ombra Salumi Bar. His new cookbook, Recipes from my Mother’s Kitchen is a celebration of home cooking, loaded with the kinds of meals Guy remembers from his childhood.

At Saturday’s event, we were lucky enough to watch Guy prepare three of his favourite traditional meals – Pumpkin Tortellini, Abbacchio and Nougat Semifreddo. Guy also spoke about his career, shared a few tips and tricks – and, thanks to Wusthof knives, showed off his impressive knife skills!

Wish you were there? We wish we could somehow share Guy’s cooking with you! Oh well – we’ll just have to settle for these photos from the event instead…
