Today, we were fortunate enough to have special guest, Somer Sivrioglu in the Peter’s Kitchen! The chef behind award-winning Balmain restaurant, Efendy and Barangaroo’s new Anason Meze Bar, Somer is Australia’s leading name in Turkish cuisine.
Somer prepared some of his favourite Turkish dishes, including Atom – dried long red chillies and strained yoghurt, Imam Bayildi – an Istanbul-style eggplant boat, Gavurdagi – a walnut, pomegranate and tomato salad that’s made to be eaten with a spoon, Sleeping Figs – dried figs in milk pudding, and to wrap things up perfectly, chocolate and almond medjool dates.
