Welcome to Friday Favourites – the post in which we share some of our favourite new arrivals here at Peter’s. Friday Favourites has had a bit of a break over the Christmas and New Year period. But now? It’s a whole new year, and we’re ready and raring to go with five fantastic new goodies we think you’re going to love.
For the first edition of Friday Favourites for 2016, we’re celebrating with a splash of bright colour…
You know when you’re standing at the baggage collection carousel at the airport, slightly dazed after a long flight, watching as hundreds of identical black bags make their way around and around the terminal. Looking at them all, you blearily wonder…which one’s yours?
Travel with Hedgren’s Transit Turquoise luggage, and you won’t have that issue ever again.
As well as looking utterly distinctive, Hedgren’s Transit collection boasts a tough polycarbonate shell that’s especially designed to resist scratching and scuff marks. Underneath the bag, four spinner wheels let you push or pull your luggage around with absolute ease – perfect for gliding through crowded airports. And with plenty of space inside, there’s room for all the souvenirs you like. Transit is pure luggage perfection.
(Oh, and if you’re not too keen on bright turquoise, Transit is available in elegant black too!)
When you think of Australian design classics, you probably think of the Hills Hoist, or the Victa lawnmower. But as far as we’re concerned, Sheridan’s Trenton collection should be considered icons of Australian design too! We’ve stocked these towels for as long as we can remember, and they’ve long been some of our most popular products (especially during our sales, when they’re 50% off their recommended retail prices…like right now, for instance! Here’s a link to the whole range).
Every Trenton towel, bath mat, face washer and bath sheet is made from heavyweight 100% cotton and boasts a ribbed pattern that’s unbelievably soft to touch. There’s something about wrapping yourself in a Trenton towel or stepping onto a Trenton bath mat after a warm shower that feels like the height of luxury. Now available in elegant, rich teal, these towels are more lavish than ever.
Lick your protein pops and put your helmets on, space cadets. From Zoku, the Space Ice Pop Maker lets you make tasty ice blocks, shaped like rocket ships and astronauts! They’re seriously cool (in every sense of the word!) and ideal for summer snacking!
Not only is this mould really easy to use, it also lets you make sure your kids are eating healthy. It’s the perfect opportunity to sneak a little fruit into their diet without them noticing. Simply pour chilled fruit juice, yoghurt or even flavoured water into the rocket and astronaut moulds, insert the reusable sticks that are included with the set and pop the whole thing into your freezer for around six hours. Before you know it, you’ll have six delicious ice blocks, ready for blastoff!
Let the countdown begin…
New year, new notebook! Moleskine’s Volant collection is available in a couple of lovely new colours that are certain to inspire you to create great things this year.
Designed in Italy, each set includes two notebooks with cardboard covers in subtly different shades of the same colour. Inside each notebook, 96 crisp, plain white pages await your finest ideas, words, sketches, shopping lists – anything! With notebooks this impressive, you’ll find yourself looking for any excuse to take notes.
There’s a certain kind of buzz here at Peter’s when a new Le Creuset colour arrives.
Say hello to Mineral Blue, the latest addition to the Le Creuset family. It’s a dreamy, idyllic shade of cerulean blue that’s guaranteed to bring tranquillity to even the most hectic of kitchens.
The Mineral Blue collection includes so much more than just Le Creuset’s classic French Ovens. There’s also co-ordinating stoneware baking dishes, a square grill…even matching mugs! Whatever you choose, one thing’s for sure. With Mineral Blue around, every meal will feel more serene than the last. It’s like a breath of fresh air. Cooking has never been this zen.
That’s this week’s edition of Friday Favourites all wrapped up. We really hope you like the products we’ve brought to your attention . If you’re eager for more, make sure you come back next Friday, when we’ll have five new Friday Favourites for you. Until then, thanks for reading!
