Phoodie’s irresistible Tim Tam Hedgehog

Tim Tam Hedgehog

It’s quick, it’s easy – and it’s absolutely deee-licious. This is our second recipe from our phavourite blogger, Phoodie, and we can’t wait to try it out! You can leave the oven off for this one. It sets in the fridge in around an hour. In fact, this recipe is so simple, you could get the kids to help you make it. Just make sure you take a piece (or two) for yourself before they scoff the lot!

Makes around 16 pieces, depending how you cut your slices

Ingredients:

Hedgehog

275g Tim Tams

1 cup shredded coconut

3 tbsp cocoa

150g dark chocolate melts

100g unsalted butter

300g condensed milk

Topping

200g white chocolate melts

100g Tim Tams, roughly chopped

Method:

Roughly chop all of your Tim Tams. You can chop the ones that you will use for the topping now as well and set them aside.

In a bowl, place 275g chopped Tim Tams, the coconut and the cocoa and mix well, making sure to set aside the extra 100g of chopped Tim Tams for the topping.

In a pan over a low heat, melt together the dark chocolate melts, the butter and the condensed milk. Make sure to stir continuously and remove from the heat the moment all ingredients are combined.

Pour this mixture over the 275g of chopped Tim Tams, cocoa and coconut, and mix well. Transfer immediately to a baking paper lined dish and flatten the top with a spatula.

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 20 second bursts (stirring in between) and then pour evenly over the slice.

Top the white chocolate with the remaining 100g of chopped Tim Tams and place in the fridge.

Allow an hour or so for the slice to set before cutting it into pieces.
