In 1971, fifteen-year-old Fred Curtis applied for a summer job at Ireland’s Waterford Crystal. Now, over forty years later, Fred Curtis still works at Waterford.

What was meant to be a temporary role became a calling. As Master Sculptor and Designer for the House of Waterford Crystal, Fred Curtis has crafted bespoke crystal pieces for presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, golfer Greg Norman, actor Clint Eastwood and more.

Today, Waterford Artisan, Fred Curtis, came to our store to talk about his amazing career at Waterford. He also gave us a demonstration of his amazing crystal cutting techniques, and signed crystal pieces purchased at the event.
