Margaret Olley was noted as much for her vivacity and charm, as for the formidable still life’s and intimate paintings which she produced throughout her career.
With a foreword by Edmund Capon entitled ‘The Amazing Margaret Olley’, this book has been compiled with love and respect for a woman who has had a profound impact on the Australian art world.
Made a year after her death in 2011, this book documents and showcases her body of work including paintings and landscapes of Brisbane and Sydney Harbour right through to the suite of artworks she was working on before she died. Compiled by Barry Pearce, the book also features a recorded conversation between the late Olley and himself.
