When you use a Tojiro knife, you’re holding in your hand the product of
more than one thousand years of evolution and quality craftsmanship.
Tojiro, from Japan, can trace their heritage all the way back to the
days of the Samurai – the ancient caste of warriors charged with
protecting the most valued members of Japanese society. These fearsome
fighters required equally fearsome weapons. Japan’s finest swordsmiths
were charged with the task of bringing to life the most legendary weapon
ever created – the samurai sword.
These days, every Tojiro knife is designed with a nod to the same
time-honoured techniques developed by Japan’s ancient craftsmen...and such legendary knives need to stay honed, in case of a battle (of the cooking kind), which is where the Tojiro Ceramic Sharpener enters the arena.
This Ceramic Sharpener has been designed with Japanese knives in mind, particularly those with 50/50 edges, including the Tojiro Pro and the DP collections. However, the Tojiro Ceramic Sharpener doesn't exclude itself from working with other brands as well, and will happily hone your Global and Shun knives as well. Its stainless steel body features slots for rough and medium, as well as medium and fine sharpening.
To use, place the Ceramic Sharpener on a flat surface and grip it in one hand - then simply slide your knife through one of the two slots with light pressure. The ceramic sharpeners will whip up your dull blades in no time, so you can quickly get back to prepping that yakitori
for tonight's dinner!
