Shun

There are ordinary knives. Then, there are Shun knives. Every Shun knife is meticulously crafted by hand in Seki City, Japan, using techniques and knowledge that go back centuries.

It takes over one hundred steps to create a Shun knife. Each blade is made from high carbon stainless steel, surrounded by 32 thin layers of polished steel. It’s this process that gives Shun knives their distinctive rippled finish, as well as an incredibly sharp edge. Then there’s the final flourish – a deep black wooden handle that’s designed for comfort, even after hours of continuous use.

Most knives aren’t works of art. Shun knives are different.
